Gender Respect Project 2013-2016

Aiming to help children and young people to understand, question and challenge gender inequality and violence.

Margaret Anderson (volunteer)

Margaret is now retired after nearly 40 years in education. Her experience was in primary and secondary schools as a teacher and headteacher and for the Sheffield Education Department as a school adviser. She was also a member of the NUT Equal Opportunities Committee and campaigned successfully for the right of women to job share.
Margaret worked with the very active Sheffield Women and Education Group during the 1980s and 90s, arranging courses and conferences and writing and influencing some of the early gender work in schools. Despite the changes that took place in education during this period, there is still a huge amount to be done! Margaret is pleased to be associated with the Gender Respect Project as a volunteer.
